ISLAND
EXPERIENCES.
From sunrise swims
to marshmallows on the fire,
there’s always something
(or nothing) to do.

Anyway is the right way to spend the day.
Whilst many people visit Nikoi just to unwind, we do offer a wide range of activities for the outgoing. Note that we do not charge for most of these activities and you are free to use the equipment for as long and as often as you like unless otherwise specified. Many of our staff are experienced sailors, divers and rock climbers and are always happy to help introduce guests to a new activity.

KIDS’ CLUB

Children of all ages have a great time on Nikoi although the range of activities and the general layout of Nikoi makes it better suited for children over the age of 4. Nikoi captures children’s imagination, daily activities include the likes of monkey tree climbing, jetty jumping, woodcraft, treasure hunts, bonfires and movie nights.
Our kids club has a dedicated team of staff and there is a daily list of varied activities, which kids are free to join as and when they like. There is no charge for the kids club.
UBAH RUMAH RESIDENCY

Tucked in the jungle on the northern tip of the island, Ubah Rumah is a studio and residence that welcomes visiting artists and researchers. Meaning “home of change” in Bahasa Indonesia, Ubah Rumah is a space for creative exchange and new perspectives.
Residents, who visit from across South East Asia, generally join us for 2 to 6 weeks at a time to explore the locals landscapes, culture, and community. Many collaborate with our team and nearby villages, drawing inspiration from the Orang Laut, the indigenous sea-nomadic people whose stories and knowledge are deeply tied to these islands.
If you’re on the island while a resident is in the Rumah, you might be invited to drop by an open studio or join a talk or workshop. Each resident leaves something behind - like a painting, a sculpture, or a textile - small traces of their time here that you can spot around the island.
